Town Purchase of Property

At the July 9, 2013, Special Town Meeting and at the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen, voters authorized that $75,000 be taken from the Hudson Building Reserve Fund to purchase the eight (8) acre property with a home on it that was
for sale and adjacent to the fire house. The sale is expected to close in October.

The property will immediately provide much needed off-road parking for fire department volunteers. It also can be developed for
recreational purposes because of its access to Pushaw Stream. Most importantly, if the town needs to build a new town hall or the fire house needs expansion in the future, this property is ideal. The final use of the property will be not be decided until after the school district decides on how it wants to dispose of the Hudson
Elementary School.
